Rosalyn Florence Manesse
1938 - 2012
It is with great sadness that I regret to inform you of the passing of Rosalyn Manesse. She passed away in her sleep on March 25th after suffering a seizure on March 19th, her 74th birthday.
I wanted to thank all of you for the cards and emails that we received over the past months as she worked so hard to recover from her illness. Your thoughtful notes meant so much to her. As cards and emails arrived I would always ask mom "who is this from?" and she would always say... "Oh that's from ______, she's my friend." Thank you for being mom's friends.
Her dd,
Marion

I am so sorry for your loss. I will treasure the little quilt your made for me.
Marion, your mom meant the world to us.
We have been sharing and posting the news of our loss for a while now. Some of us also left notes at the the site that handled the arrangements.
Please just know that this has broken a lot of hearts. Not all of us sent mail, or notes, but everyone feels this loss, trust me.
I posted on this and how truly personal it felt for all of us on my own blog, and showed the quilts she had made for AAQI as that was so dear of her. There are no words for just how much she will be missed. She was a treasure! Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
Roz was one of my faithful commenters and always took interest in my quilts and my life beyond quilts. Although I am Christian and she was Jewish, we also had a few theological conversations along the way. Thanks for sharing this news with us and please know that my sympathies are with you.
Marion - I'm glad you were able to spend this extra time with your mom before she passed away - it meant so much that you were there with her. Thank you for reading my card to her too! Sending good thoughts. June in San Diego
Oh Marion, I am so sorry for your loss. I have been away from blogging for a couple of months - just came back to it two days ago and wondered how your mum was doing. My deepest sympathy to you and all the family.
I did not know your mother except through blogging. Her comments were always so complimentary and gracious. I wish I could have met her.
I am so sorry for your loss! I knew Roz through blogging. She was always so kind with her visits to my blog.
I love seeing this picture of Roz with a beautiful smile on her face.
Although there are no words that can take away the pain you must feel but know that my deepest sympathies and prayers are with you and your family.

I only knew your mother through blogging but I counted her as a friend. She will be missed.
Dear Marion. As you know, I only knew your Mother through our blogging and quilting adventures, but she was a very dear friend.
I miss her a great deal.
Sending you and your family my deepest sympthaies
So sorry to hear about your mom's passing, Marion. Thinking of you and your family and sending lots of hugs your way.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll miss Roz and the quilts she so lovingly made. She was one of the very first to comment on my blog when I first started blogging 4 years ago.
