And a little bit of applique

I'm adding a couple of flowers to my wall hanging today, in between watching the Figure Skating on TV. I've been hesitating so much on this thing. I have to keep reminding myself that it's only a little bit of fabric. It's not my only project either, as I sewed a few quilt blocks besides. Thanks for all the encouraging comments that have come in! I want to remember to give credit to the inspiration of Tanya Watanabe's quilt with the Japanese lettering that was published in the book Word Play Quilts by Tonya Ricucci.

This is looking wonderful! I think the flowers really bring it to life. I don't know Hebrew, but I think your letters look great.

He' Scottish, but he plays in the Cape Breton style. I've been a fan of his for years now. My whole family is!

It's coming along beautifully, Roz. I love your bravery of trying such lovely new elements in piecing and the addition of the flowers..life is coming into this piece with joy. My violin playing daughter used to have Natalie's cd's and then saw her in concert down in Eugene a while back..I can even hear that music as you quilt! Sound and colors stay with us and get transferred through our art...good for you for holding on to what matters and letting go of what doesn't.
