Applique hearts

I made this quilt a few years ago. I saw a photo in a magazine. It's basically machine and hand applique, and hand blanket stitching with black. I just use it as an ornament in the living room. It's one of those useless-type quilts most of us make. It was fun sewing on a bunch of old buttons that have been collected over the years.

Very cute, but useless??? Don't you ever curl up under it, or just smile when you see it?

Ok, it's fun to look at, I guess, and it covers an ugly chair.

I love the heart and spool quilt. It is very colorful. Thanks for visiting my blog. I found your hummingbird nest pictures. That is an awesome picture of the two sitting in the nest. I did a quick scan of your blog and you have made some very nice quilts. I love the teacup one!

It seems that you like making scrap quilts and so I would not name any of your quilts useless. If nothing else at least they help reduce your stash. But I think all of them are far too nice to be reduced to "just" stash busting!
The appliqué hearts, the butterflies and the cups all look smashing. Take care.
